Volunteer in Prospect Park

Prospect Park Alliance engages thousands of volunteers annually to help keep Brooklyn’s Backyard green, vibrant and welcoming. The volunteer season runs from April through November.  Register today to become a volunteer in Prospect Park.

Full vaccination is now required in order to attend volunteer events at Prospect Park. Face coverings (masks) are not required for volunteers during outdoor projects. Volunteers are welcome to wear masks at their discretion.

It's My Park Days

Looking to get involved in a park clean-up effort? Lend a hand on select Mondays + Tuesdays to care for the park after busy weekends.

Fall Fix Up Series

Lend a hand with a variety of projects from path and playground restoration, painting and leaf raking. From September through November, explore your park while giving back to Brooklyn’s Backyard!

Summer Spruce Up

Join a volunteer series on Thursdays through September + assist with invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, litter pick up + more. Appropriate for teens + adults 18+.

Park Pitch In

Pitch in on select weekends with projects ranging from tree care, removing invasive plants, litter removal + more! Open to groups, supervised youth ages 9-13, teens + adults.
