Birding 101 at the Boathouse

Join Prospect Park Alliance, Audubon New York and NYC Parks for an avian adventure through Prospect Park, a haven for over 250 species of birds! The “Birding 101” program is a perfect gateway to the fascinating world of bird watching in Brooklyn’s Backyard. Discover the joy of this accessible and rewarding hobby with insights from the seasoned birders of the Audubon New York Youth Education Program team in a “train the trainer” style presentation where you will learn basic bird identification and accessible and ethical birding. After the presentation to learn the ins and outs of beginner birding, join a guided bird walk through our thriving park.
